We Got Hockey Fever!

Things just haven't been the same here since the Ducks won the Stanley Cup. Hockey fever is going strong and shows no signs of abating; the newest young hopeful has begun her training.
We have 15 years to make the Anaheim Ducks a coed team.; )

For my God Daddy Myk...

Did you see my ferocity?

What's Happening?

It's time to shake the dust bunnies off the blog! Aside, from chasing our now three year olds here is a little of what we have been doing...

Lorelai and Kellen are Three!

For our most recent garden project we built a pond. It took a bit of hard work, but I am so glad we did it. I love having this little area of peace and serenity in our garden.

Here is a few of our goldfish. We have seven in our little pond.

Of course, we are taking lots of pictures of our little wildlife refuge. Lorelai is quite the shutterbug.

A garden visitor.

In the Spring we planted blueberries. Here is my first little harvest. Mmmm... so sweet. Now to just keep the plants alive in our Southern California scorching summer to come.

The grapes are growing! We have, once again, a nice harvest on it's way.

It wouldn't be a picture of my garden without my favorite, the pomegranate! Little baby Pom please grow big and sweet for me.

Madigan Macree hopes that you will visit our garden again soon. Updates will come sooner than seven months.; )

Images of Autumn

We have been out and about enjoying our favorite season... fall! It still feels a bit hot here to truly be fall, but at least it's finally cold at night. In the evenings I have been snuggling down in my bed, knitting, and enjoying a cup of tea. Ah, I love this time of year.

Here are some pictures of our more recent adventures and other fall goodness:

One of the first signs of fall's arrival...the pomegranate's are ripe and ready to be picked

Sooooo sweet

Our trip to Riley's Farm

The kids and I had a touch of cabin fever so one day we hopped into the mother ship and headed off to Riley's farm (a big thanks to Felicia for the suggestion). The farm is really, really neat and I highly recommend checking it out to anyone here in So Cal that hasn't been there yet.

Boys will be boys

Girls will be girls of course ; )

Goodbye Summer, We'll Miss You!

Would you like some ice cream?

My first all-on-my-own ice cream cone!

Yum!

A girl could get used to this.

Here's some pictures from a couple different trips to the park we took in August.

Crikey!

I was shocked and saddened when I heard about the tragic accident that took Steve Irwin's life. I count myself as a fan and appreciate all that he did for animal causes and awareness as well as the fact that he was uncompromising in his beliefs. Fortunately, he will continue to inspire future generations through Animal Planet re-airings of his shows and documentary specials.

He will be missed!

A Few New Pictures
We've been flitting all about enjoying the last bit of summer and as a result I haven't been posting as much lately, but I have a bunch of fun new pictures to show what we have been up to.

First stop one of our favorite places... Disneyland!

The happiest place on Earth!

Meeting Pluto

First drink from a water fountain!

Next stop... a little time for play.

I know they grow up fast, but really!

She seems to like her new look much to her Daddy's chagrin.

Hot off the needles:

I am still managing to fit in a little crafting at night when I can. It's definitely not easy, it's hard to believe how much two little rascals can tire you out! Anyway, here is what I have completed recently:

The front of my first sweater. All I have now is the sleeves, but they are on the back burner for a little bit while I work on a surprise project. I am looking forward to putting it all together and wearing it this fall.

A beaded sarong from a pattern in Knit1 The Travel Issue. The beads ended up being a bit heavy so I may end up removing them. I am kind of sad about it because I really like them, but hopefully I can re-purpose them into something else neat.

Here's Lorelai modeling the lastest in pirate wench wear.

Here's a tote bag I made to use for my knitting projects. This is my first completed sewing project. Yep, I am a sewing newbie! I got a sewing machine for my birthday and while I was working on it this kept going through my mind:

This is my sewing machine
There are many like it, but this one is MINE...
My sewing machine without me is useless. Without my sewing machine, I... Well, you get the picture.

My apologies to the United States Marine Corp, I guess I have been watching too many war movies lately. ; )

Love is in the air!

This past weekend we learned how challenging it can be to try to keep two year old twins on their best behavior during a wedding. We got a bit of a work-out, but all in all they were as well behaved as could be expected and the day turned out very nice indeed.

We didn't get as many pictures as we would have liked (hmmm... I wonder why?), but here are some pictures of the day:
